In terms of EV technology, it is worth mentioning to highlight, Toyota is the world leader in battery & hydrogen technology for passenger car systems. Both technologies do not release carbon emissions from the tile pipe and provide therby clean energy drive. Recently in the Bankok Motor Show 2023, Toyota revealed couple of its new variants of Fortuner. Those are fortune modellista and 2023 GR sport. This two variants are of huge admiration among youth and are expected to increase the premium SUV standard in the market. Toyota with its latest models including Modellista, holds 50% of market share in Japanese passenger car segment. Given Toyota's expertise and success in Japan, it would just be a matter of time to replicate the same in India. Toyota Fortuner Modellista is equipped with 2.4 L turbo diesel engine.
There is also an after market kit to increase the sporty looks providing customizable options to the buyer. This provides now an opportunity to the buyer, to customize Toyota Fortuner using the Modellista kit. This would import the customer likings to vehicle thereby personalizing driving comfort and feel.

Toyota Fortuner Modellista (2.4 L diesel engine) is approximately around 40 lakhs, whereas GR Sport (2.8 litre Diesel engine) is around 46 lakhs, as per industry estimates.
The claimed range of GR sport would be 13.9 KMPL, whereas, Toyota Fortuner Modellista would be around 14.7 KMPL.
